The Blue Door is, as is widely acknowledged, a path-breaking design for a restaurant in Hyderabad. It brought classiness conjoined with an element of rusticity to the dining experience. The client brief was short – ‘a Mediterranean island in the midst of Hyderabad’. I have incorporated various elements of the Mediterranean architecture and culture in my design; right from the doors, walls, furniture and colors. It truly gives you a feel of a Mediterranean feel when you step in through the door.
