The hotel is an architectural landmark and a Trondheim attraction. The building embodies innovative solutions in design and art, as well as setting a high standard for energy efficiency. The 3-dimensional crystalline shapes in the lobby give associations to ice formations. For the ceiling the architect selected Aluphant PURE, a transparent coating which shows the natural beauty of the metal. The brass colored metal highlights the impressive ceiling.
