Design and construction bureau Modular Glass System NEO has presented the youngest modular construction system for temporary architecture and exhibition stands at INTERZUM 2014 in Cologne, Germany. This UK-based company is devoted to creating beautiful and innovative stands over the Europe, Russia, Azerbaijan and UAE, using their own exclusive types of modular equipment. The latest of the “NEO” systems, “NEO Di Mare”, was used in stand construction.

One thing to say about stand concept is the particular aesthetic of glass finish and curvy layout. Bent glass panels with colorful print on their back are arranged to create a smooth and solid glass surface. Lamps are located inside the frame (between glass panels) and provide “inner glow” effect. Black wave-like walls powdered with tiny white dots made an impression of a dark sky erupting from the stand exterior.

The curvy glass surface of NEO Di Mare is an empty canvas, allowing the designer to fill it with all kinds of image and text. Glass, print, light and simple supporting frame are the key players. Glass is a recognized eye-catcher and contemporary beauty medium. Seemingly futuristic, NEO Di Mare glass structures are a logical step in exhibition design evolution.
