aut. architektur und tirol presents the works of documentarian Harun Farocki (deceased 2014) and photographer/filmmaker Armin Linke in the exhibition ‘raumbilderfolgen’ or ‘sequences of spatial images’. The show was originally conceived as a personal interaction between Farocki and inke, both of whom use imagery as a means to depict changing ideologies, cultural conditions, and political tensions.
Farocki’s short documentary ‘Schnittsstelle’ (interface) is the exhibition’s starting point, which is followed by various large-format photographs by linke. In addition to stills, Linke’s latest film ‘Alpi’ is viewable in its completed form. The piece is the result of research carried out by the artist at the Institute for Quantum Optics and Information at the Austrian Academy of Sciences. ‘raumbilderfolgen’ is open daily until june 18th, 2016 at the aut. architektur und tirol in Innsbruck, Austria.
