Maison Dada is a newly born Maison d’édition of furniture, lighting and accessories. Created in Shanghai by Thomas Dariel and Delphine Moreau. Maison Dada was born out of a wild dream. It is a desire to inject a dose of Dadaism into our everyday life. An ambition to create the unexpected from ordinary objects. A will to harmonize dreams and reality. Dada is a state of mind. Collages, inventions, re-appropriations: Maison Dada creates objects that are gently crazy, defying certainty, taste and gravity.
Out of the ordinary and spontaneous; intuitive and carefree; elegant yet colorful and poetic, Maison Dada reflects the innocence of childhood memories with a contemporary twist. Maison Dada is a wish to give a roof for those whom embrace and echo Dada’s philosophy, a space where ideas can flourish again and again. The first collection, launched in March 2015 and designed by Thomas Dariel, pays homage to the forgotten objects that had once been an important part of people’s daily lives. It includes iconic pieces such as China cabinets and dressing tables that made up the beauty of the interiors from 19th and 20th centuries yet were left behind by time.
