The La Marzocco showroom at KEXP is the place to experience the fine art of espresso. As a destination for the La Marzocco brand, it’s both a café that serves as a stage for the world’s best coffee brands and baristas and a showcase for La Marzocco Home.
The showroom presents the story of La Marzocco and its prominent role in the coffee category for the past 90 years. The design of the showroom, done by branding agency States of Matter and SKB Architects, draws primary inspiration from the brand’s heritage in Florence, Italy, specifically the oversized picture windows that gaze into the company’s manufacturing plant, the beautifully crafted vintage coffee bars that the La Marzocco team created over the years as well as a custom floor to ceiling mural of Florence Italy.
Important features of the showroom include the West and South walls. The West wall chronicles the brand’s timeline in four eras, gracefully weaving the story into the wall shelving. This allows each visitor to take in as much or as little of the brand history as they wish. Each era highlights key artifacts curated from La Marzocco’s museum of espresso machine innovations. Prominently featured on a steel shelf are three of the brand’s most recognizable espresso machines favored by the best cafés around the world.
The South wall celebrates La Marzocco Home, the brand’s newest products created specifically for the kitchens of coffee enthusiasts. We intentionally set up this section to encourage hands-on interaction with the new espresso machines, and to help people understand the ideal set up for a home espresso station. Visitors can test each machine, try out accessories and talk with the Home sales team.
