Piotr Gieraltowski and his team Gieraltowski & Partnerzy has designed 39 multiplex cinemas as far. It is one of the most experienced cinema designing office in Europe if not in the world.

The cinema we are presenting here is a newest in Wroclaw in the newest and most modern designed shopping mall in the City. The Cinema foyer is located at the 2nd floor of the mall with the entrance directly from the food court by the dedicated escalator stairs. The experience of G&P is starting with cinema layout consultancy, programming number of box office desks, location of each zone – ticketing, concession, café, seating, etc.

Our vision was to create a very clear contrast between the foyer (white) and viewing halls entrances (black). As clients arrive to the cinema foyer with the escalator it slowly appears all in white and lighten by the RGB led lights which makes it changing the colors. It gives the WOW effect at the entrance and attracts clients even to take a look inside.

Just at the entrance we have placed a box office, then they have a long and beautiful concession – popcorn bar and finally a special space designated for a café, where clients can wait calmly for the movie, having a good quality coffee or tea with sweets. No alcoholic beverages are sold here.

The world of movies is a very special product, where clients want to buy a short 2-3 hour escape from their every day life to the magical world of cinema. The cinema is creating the special atmosphere right from its entrance. It is darker, cozier, more mystical than in the usual retail space.

The good quality materials – tiles, mosaics, marble, wooden veneers, glass, fabrics, etc. are giving the image of exclusivity and quality. The discreet and directional lighting is underlining the important elements, products for sales, decoration. Sophisticated RGB Led lighting slowly changing colors gives the atmosphere of relax to the whole foyer.

We have decided to separate the screens entrance areas by the color. There are a very strong light portals leading from the white zone to the black zones, which are suppose to calm spectators down, prepare them and their eyes for the movie Only screen entrance portals are surrounded with light RGB color changing LEDs to catch the attention of where they are located.
