Located in the business block of the Elante Mall in Chandigarh, Empire Packages required their new office to represent their ideologies while accommodating their growing team in larger premises. With an area of 1500 sqft, the main challenge for the architects at Studio Design 360, a Chandigarh based design and architecture firm, was to define a new language that would do justice to both the location of the office and the client’s brief.
This was done by the clever contrast of an industrial look, coupled with modern and chic interiors. The main feature of the design is a wall supporting white laquer panels with incremental spaces between them as they travel upwards. The translucent partitions support contemporary textures and designs, separating the various spaces, yet binding them visually and providing coherence to the design.
The ceiling supports track lights and ac ducts and is painted dark grey binding the whole space together. The colour tones are kept subdued, including shades of grey, beige and off-white with intuitive lighting bringing only the desired areas to focus at a time. Minimal furnishings and subtlety defines the office space of Empire Packages, exuding warmth and sophistication.
