For EBW’s new Santa Monica store, MNA designed a boutique environment that feels both local and relevant to the beach side neighborhood. This store evokes a casual feel through the use of natural materials and minimally detailed fixtures which provide an intimate setting for the retailer’s offering of swimwear, resort wear and accessories.

Clear perimeter display areas are complemented with two custom sawhorse tables providing dedicated surfaces to display new product and accessories. A fitting room volume clad in white oak slats and a lounge area comprised of Glo-Ball pendants and Acapulco chairs help to reinforce the beach resort ambiance.

To create a strong street presence, the building facade was completely renovated. Grey stained cedar planks surround full height black framed glazing. Boxwood planters add depth and life to the streetscape while new light grey awnings protect the store from the Californian sun.
