Caulder Moore designed the store environment for Aspinal of London and their first retail flagship store outside London in Leeds, Victoria Gate. Aspinal, is one of the UK’s foremost high-end, luxury leather goods and accessories brands, is set to open its new 1,430 sq ft flagship store October 20th 2016. The Aspinal team are working closely with Caulder Moore to bring the brand’s retail vision to Leeds.

“We have long been looking to launch the Brand in Leeds and this will be our first flagship store outside of London. “ said CEO Sarah Rotheram, “ Within our space we are looking to bring the ‘home’ of Aspinal to the Leeds customer. The brand already has and established customer base in the city, and we are looking forward to being able to meet our customers in person.”

The space was designed with the modern Leeds target customer in mind and is the perfect mix of Aspinal tradition and signature elements reinterpreted in a modern context. The sweeping glass frontage of the new store acts as a third window into the store and sits at the heart of the customer experience.

It is seamlessly intermingled with bespoke antique furniture and wood panelling, creating a sense of theatre. Together they represent the quintessentially Aspinal home. The new store takes inspiration from the flagship Aspinal Brook Street store, brought into a modern, contemporary context.

This included creating a theatre space in the centre of the store, which showcases the new collection of accessories. Caulder Moore worked with Aspinal of London to expand the colour palette of the brand, including new tones such as blush pink. The Leeds store is one of the first in Aspinal of London’s plan to expand across the U.K, with more planned for the first quarter of 2017.
