Wildwood, a contemporary bar and restaurant is located in the former Mall, Shopping Centre situated in Lincoln; A cathedral city and the county town of Lincolnshire. The site originally had a façade that limited daylight to the mall, this was completely replaced with a new façade to allow daylight to flood in the new double height 10x10m void deli space which uses the geometry of the shopfront in the design of the deli displays. The space oozes with light and airy ambience, creating a comfortable, modern restaurant that celebrates colour, form, and pattern.
A large lighting feature above the bar makes full use of the double height space and transforms the space to be warm and welcoming in the evenings. The bar consists of a marble front, and luxurious green leather bar stools. Making use of existing architectural design features such as the original beams, brickwork and ceiling tiles resulted in an industrial approach towards the design. By adding rich timber and marble finishes, the space adopts a sense of luxury. Introducing statement details including emerald green and canary yellow ceramics enhanced the visual aesthetics of the restaurant.
By introducing several different seating areas, the vast space is broken up to create an exclusive dining experience and a welcoming atmosphere with each visit. Wildwood Lincoln features a cinema area with plush seating, which offers customers film screenings every Tuesday and Thursday. After indulging in great food and delicious beverages, the restaurant is in walking distance to the charming waterside and the impressive medieval cathedral. A lovely day out for all.
