The Porsche “Panamera Sport Turismo” is a five-door “Panamera estate” inspired by the German-automaker’s “Sport Turismo” concept from five years ago. Based on the new, elegant and powerful “Panamera”, the “Sport Turismo” is essentially the 2012 concept vehicle brought to life with a voluminous boot at the rear. The Porsche “Panamera Sport Turismo” will be unveiled at the 87th Geneva Motor Show (march 7 – 19, 2017). Four model variants will be available at launch: “Panamera 4”, “Panamera 4S”, “Panamera 4 E-hybrid”, plus the “Panamera Turbo”. Based on the successful estate vehicle, these new cars make a statement in the premium segment with their unmistakeable design. The “sport turismo”, with up to 550 hp, is one of the most versatile models in its class. With a large tailgate, low loading edge, increased luggage compartment volume and a “four+one” seating concept, the new “Panamera” offers a combination of everyday usability and maximum flexibility.
The “Sport Turismo” has dynamic proportions, reflecting the sporty nature of Porsche design’s DNA. The silhouette is further characterized by short body overhangs and large wheels. Beginning from the B-pillars back, the “Sport Turismo” features a unique rear design. Above the pronounced shoulder, an elongated window line and equally long roof contour lend the vehicle its striking appearance. At the rear, the roof drops away less dramatically than the window line, resulting in a prominent and distinctive D-pillar which transitions into the shoulder section in a coupe-like fashion. The raised roof line of the “Panamera Sport Turismo” allows for easy entry and exit at the rear of the vehicle, while offering great head clearance.
The “Panamera Sport Turismo”s’ interior architecture combines elements of prestige with unrivalled adaptability: sat in the luxurious cabin you can find two 7-inch LCD instrument screens for monitoring performance data, a large 12.3-inch main touchscreen, touch-sensitive zones for the climate and adaptive driving controls, plus elegant wood veneers. The “Sport Turismo” is the first “Panamera” to feature rear seating for three passengers. The two outer seats take the form of individual seats, thereby producing a 2+1 configuration in the rear, plus keeping the model’s reputation for sporty performance with passenger comfort. As an option, the vehicle is also available in a four-seat configuration with two electrically adjustable individual seats in the back.
