Dubbed the “UA Architech futurist,” the latest 3D-printed sneaker from Under Armour is named to aptly fit its next-gen appearance. High-level underfoot technology is woven into the shoe’s 3D-printed lattice sole, helping the sneaker deliver the kind of support on which Under Armour builds its reputation. With it’s minimal appearance and high-performance technology, the other-worldly footwear design is intended to represent the company’s past, present and future of changing the way that athletes dress.

Intended to make athletes feel “all powerful,” Under Armour’s latest shoe has an upper made from Under Armour’s speedform material that molds perfectly to your foot, creating a second skin effect. The for maximum support, the Architech Futurist incorporates an external compression sleeve that locks your foot in place for increased strength. The zipper is strategically placed in the centre of the shoe’s upper, not just for a futuristic aesthetic, but to provide the wearer with a seamless feel as they slip on the sneaker.

The Architech Futurist’s most eye-catching feature has to be its 3D-printed lattice sole. The plastic fibres are interwoven to provide the wearer with infinite cushioning, in a shoe that looks fit for extraterrestial terrain. The shoe is the latest advance in Under Armour’s 3D-printed footwear line, which prides itself on being a stable, strong collection of sneakers. Designed for athletes, the shoe is intended to be versatile and supportive, adapting to the wearer’s individual workout.

The sneaker is set to drop on march 30th this year, on Under Armour’s website and in select UA brand houses around the world. The high-tech creation will retail for $300.00.
