STRV offices by Studio Perspektiv, Prague – Czech Republic

Studio Perspektiv has designed the offices of software company STRV, located in Prague, Czech Republic. Occupying more than 5,500 sqm of space at the sprawling River Garden office complex in Prague’s Karlin business district, tech heavyweight STRV wanted its headquarters to emulate the whimsical, anything-goes vibe of the Silicon Valley startup scene. “We wanted not only space that would be big enough to someday accommodate a development team of 500, but we also wanted our offices to have pizzazz. Standard cubicle blocks with framed corporate slogans hanging on the walls would never do,” says STRV CEO David Semerad. “We were aiming for something unique — a design and feel that closely relates to our own brand.”

Lead architect Martin Stara designed modern offices that combine fun with functional for STRV’s multinational team of web and app developers and designers. The open layout includes two terraces, a large multipurpose event space for hackathons and developer meetups as well as an expansive rooftop bar, jacuzzi and gym. There’s even a birch tree forest. In addition to themed meeting rooms — like Into the Woods, Code Red, Fish Tank and Hall of Justice — several fully stocked kitchens and sleeping boxes, the space is also equipped with pool and foosball tables, scooters and a hoverboard.
