Paddy Power Betfair Malta approached Morphoza to create a new inviting and friendly space designed especially for the company’s Customer Services team and International Helpdesk in Malta. The reason behind the renovation was to offer a better working environment to the company’s employees, solve functionality issues, improve productivity, attract new staff and retain and engage current staff.
The designers gave every floor a different theme inspired by Malta’s characteristics and landscapes. Valletta’s fortifications, dominant and distinctive architecture of countless buildings, remembering of the Knights of St John or Medina’s catacombs, were a great source of inspiration for Morphoza’s design team. Combinations of stone, sea, lights and contrasts are defining elements for Malta’s landscapes.
Therefore, Morphoza used a colour and textures explosion, creating a world full of possibilities. Designed as a city within the city, the 3805 m2 office is hosting open spaces, meeting points, flexible meeting rooms, but also private spaces, a cafeteria and a terrace. Every detail is a pretext for comfort and collaborative interactions.
One of the main focus elements, street art, is expressed in graffiti and was used for the entrance area’s design, the hallways and also in order to connect the indoors with the terrace. “Our goal was to design a visually appealing and inspiring office, but also a functional environment, because at the end of the day, Paddy Power Betfair’s employees need a workspace where they can do their best work”, said Diana Calfa, Managing Partner Morphoza.
Malta is the land of the sun and the sea, the dream holiday destination. Morphoza used it as a main theme for the company’s cafeteria and relaxation spots. Therefore, the designers integrated many nautical elements as they define Malta landscapes and brought the outdoors in. The result tells one clear story; a story that is inextricably connected with Paddy Power Betfair Malta.
