Healthfirst is a not-for-profit managed care organization and provider-sponsored health insurance company that serves over a million members in NY. After the successful completion of their NYC headquarters at 100 Church Street, Healthfirst retained TPG for the expansion of their growing call center in Lake Mary, Florida. When the building next door became available, Healthfirst called upon TPG to relocate and redesign their call center operations to the 3rd and 4th floors of the adjacent building.
Ergonomics and sound privacy were some of the challenges the client faced in their previous space. In addition to wanting to attract and retain talent, the client wanted to provide daylight and views for all employees to help improve employee engagement, comfort, and overall satisfaction. TPG’s designers took these concerns into consideration when planning the 98% open floorplan with over 600 workstations complete with sit-stand desks. To help address the acoustical concerns, the design team employed a number of strategies such as sound-absorbent fabric panels integrated into the workstations, acoustical ceiling and wall finishes, and a “white noise” sound masking system.
The office features a number of amenity spaces that allow employees to decompress and step away from their desk, including phone rooms, huddles, lounges, and the central café hub. The third floor also includes training and formal conference rooms. To help create a sense of office community, TPG’s Branding and Graphics team incorporated a mix of NYC and Orlando-themed graphics and artwork in the space.
