Architecture Studio POINT., led by Marco Verrando and Francesca Rossotti, develops the project, signed by the four-ring automobile manufacturer, for the promotion of an eco-friendly lifestyle.
Digital islands that give real time updates on noise pollution, green energy production, street safety, climate conditions and other considerable informations. It’s the job made by point.Architects’ team, keeping up the strong partnership with Audi Italia through a project that connects urban and interactive design together.
“The theme of environmental sustainability it’s obviously everyday more at the centre of the debate among designers – say Marco Verrando e Francesca Rossotti, Managing partners at Point.Architects – The digital islands we created wish to give a contribution to the cause, giving people an all round, three-dimensional, point of view on mountain’s ecosystem. Focusing on data makes much easier to realise how deep is our lifestyle’s impact on the environment, and this can trigger a positive effect on everyone’s habits in everyday’s life.” But data survey is not the only utility offered by digital islands.
Heated seats, free wi-fi connection, and USB recharge points, contribute creating a space that combines ease and expendability with the educational issue. The projects underlines the signature style of Point.Architects’ case history in their jobs for Audi: simplicity, soft lines, wood and a deep study on details. The Digital islands were created with Todo’s contribution in graphics, while Topstand realised the structures.
