Coffeebar is a contemporary cafe and coffee shop in the heart of Silicon Valley’s venture capital center. The design reimagines what was once a 3,378-square-foot commercial building (a former nail salon and food mart), transforming it into a curated, modern destination. A simple material palette of steel, cypress, and glass establishes a contemporary ambiance while offering durability. Exterior wood louvers float in front of oversized windows and doors to soften the harsh daylight. Riffing on Italian coffee bars, the interior features terrazzo countertops and walls. A bicycle chain chandelier and an alcove partitioned with metal chain curtains pay homage to the local biking culture. A live-edge walnut communal table anchors the space.
