Switchup used the natural light to highlight every space within the SAM offices in Tel Aviv, Israel. SAM is a digital security company that specializes in cloud-based platform security and in securing IoT networks. SAM protects 370 million devices globally. For a company with a lot at stake, Switchup designed an office space that exudes calm and warmth, giving employees and clients a relaxing area in which to destress and reset after working on challenging projects.
The entry and front desk of SAM set the tone for the design elements and themes in the rest of the office space. Creams and natural beiges are contrasted with black accents and curving industrial shapes, like the black wire wall decal surrounding the SAM logo. This simple but welcoming space gives employees, guests, and clients a clear center for information about the company and its administration.
SAM is a modern technology company, in every sense. This office design is truly made for office operations in 2022, when the nature of work and what we need out of an office space has changed. Small, one person meeting pods are the perfect solution to hybrid workplaces and video calls with clients from far away. Things that have become the norm in a post-pandemic world must be accounted for in a work space design. Benches and desks provide differing options for employees who prefer to work—or Zoom—in differing ways.
The kitchen is a standard, though stylish, central meeting space in the SAM office. A clean but functional breakroom style kitchen gives employees a place to get morning coffee, catch up on projects, and take a minute to sit at a high top stool to gaze out the floor to ceiling windows.
Small nooks throughout the SAM office give way to funky design elements like this curved black wire cutaway, a stand-in for a separating wall that provides much more openness. Casual lounge chairs give guests a place to wait for appointments or employees a place to catch a quick brain break in between challenging projects.
