Maris Interiors took an innovative approach to design Planet’s financial services office in London, creating a vibrant and inviting workspace inspired by boutique hotels, blending luxury, comfort, and functionality to foster creativity, collaboration, and productivity. Planet are a leader in connected commerce, embarked on a transformative project to revolutionise their financial services office space in the heart of London.

Faced with the challenge of creating a workspace that would draw staff to the office and foster collaboration, the aim was to step away from traditional office concepts and introduce an element of fun and innovation into the workday. The goal was to create an office environment that was inviting and enjoyable, rather than just functional.

The design concept drew inspiration from the luxury and comfort of boutique hotels, aiming to create a space that resembled a private members’ club. This approach was intended to craft an inviting, stylish, and collaborative office environment, distinct from the typical corporate setting.

The resulting office space is both a centre for creative opportunities and a model of professional connectivity. Planet’s new office stands out with its unique blend of sophistication and multifunctional design, establishing a new standard in financial services office environments.

In response to the changing landscape of work post-pandemic, Planet sought to create a London office that reflected the needs of the modern era. They aimed to design a space that didn’t just feel like an office but was a destination in itself, offering a unique and compelling experience.

The design included a variety of zones within the office, each catering to different work styles and needs while maintaining a cohesive and welcoming atmosphere. The office features a bar-style reception, a flexible dining area suitable for presentations, diverse open-plan workspaces, private meeting rooms, and executive suites.

The new workspace style was crafted in response to employee preferences, balancing technological advancement with aesthetic appeal. The design incorporated plush furnishings, a thoughtful colour palette, and ambient lighting, all integrated seamlessly with functional technology.
