ATDESIGNOFFICE focused on creating innovative communal spaces in the Linktel Technologies building in Wuhan, connecting employees with nature, promoting collaboration, and enhancing work efficiency and satisfaction.
ATDESIGNOFFICE advocates that innovative enterprises shall provide employees with more open and diverse communal spaces, as well as value the impact of connection with nature on work efficiency and satisfaction.
Linktel Technologies is a leading company in R&D and production of optical modules. The 5-levels building is a huge box measuring 118 meters long and 38 meters wide. Core of our design is a large communal space which we call Central Avenue.
Central Avenue reminds people of the landscape and commercial activities along the main streets of the city. In the Linktel Central Avenue there are two landscape courtyards, several coffee bars, meeting rooms and discussion areas, as well as two atriums, which can hold talks, exhibitions and events etc. The open working space are located on both sides of Central Avenue.
The courtyards bring in fresh air and sunlight, authentic soil, plants and birds. We also converted two atriums and added skylights to the roof. There is a significant improvement in the natural light level of the building. Skylights can help lower the indoor temperature and adjust the indoor climate by opening the skylight, thereby reducing the indoor air conditioning usage time during the transition season. We prioritize health and comfort as our core, with the goal of achieving physical and mental pleasure for people.
In the atriums there are the two blue stairs, which encourage employees to walk between floors and bring vitality. The two-story atrium is spacious, with skylights providing ample natural light indoors. This atrium, along with nearby leisure areas, flexible office areas, coffee bars, and other facilities, creates a focal point that promotes communication and collaboration. Employees even hold concerts here, and when the music plays, the office experience becomes completely different.
There is no physical separation between the various departments, as well as between the working area and the Central Avenue. Face to face communication and team collaboration are particularly encouraged, reflecting the work culture of Linktel that encourages innovation, equality, and inclusiveness. The furniture used on Central Avenue includes partitioned bookcases with whiteboards, movable screens and sofas to meet the needs of flexible office, collaborative, or independent work. Various desks and chairs of different heights, providing work options in standing or sitting positions, can help improve employee health.
Central Avenue in Linktel Technologies new campus not only improves work efficiency, but also enhances employee job satisfaction and the quality of the office environment.
