The GoodGrids Studio transformed LVMH’s office in Singapore with a focus on maximizing natural light, introducing new discussion spaces, and blending luxury hospitality design elements to create a modern and inviting workspace.
The transformation of the LVMH SSEA office was driven by a vision to enhance circulation flow, expand office capacity, and create a work environment that seamlessly blends functionality with an elevated sense of hospitality. As a leader in luxury, LVMH’s workspace had to reflect the sophistication, heritage, and innovation that define its global brand portfolio.
One of the key design considerations was maximizing natural light, ensuring that open workstations are bathed in daylight to foster productivity and well-being. The office layout was reconfigured to introduce new discussion spaces and lounges, promoting interaction and flexibility within the workplace. This shift reflects a modern understanding of office design—one that moves beyond rigid formality to create spaces that are warm, inviting, and engaging.
Taking cues from European architecture, the design pays homage to LVMH’s French heritage. Elements such as arches and French windows subtly reference the brand’s origins, weaving cultural storytelling into the spatial experience. The fusion of hospitality design within a corporate setting further softens the office environment, making it feel more like a luxury lounge than a conventional workspace. By integrating warmth and comfort, the space fosters a sense of belonging while maintaining an air of refined professionalism.
At the heart of the project is the reception area—a low, understated counter welcomes visitors into a space that immediately feels open and connected. The waiting area extends effortlessly into the work lounge and pantry, doubling as a breakout zone for the adjacent conference room. A central circulation corridor runs through these spaces, featuring an acoustic baffle ceiling designed to enhance sound insulation, ensuring a balance between collaboration and focused work. Every inch of the office was optimized, with even the smallest architectural nooks transformed into display niches for showcasing LVMH’s products, reinforcing the brand’s presence throughout the space.
The result is a workplace that embodies the ethos of LVMH—where luxury meets purpose, and where a workspace is not just a place to work, but a thoughtfully curated environment that inspires. This reimagined office is more than an expansion; it is a statement of innovation, heritage, and the evolution of modern workplace design.
