This brand creation for Southwestern Distillery is born from the legend of two nineteenth century Cornish brothers who spent all their time in darkness; mining tin during the day and distilling moonshine at night.

Their famous black whisky is now brought to market in a fitting steel tin that shouts of their underground spirit, combined with an identity and blast of vibrancy that grabs the spotlight from traditional whiskies.

Playful, rebellious and daring, this brand doesn’t conform to the norm, much like their infamous dynamite locomotive – surely the fastest and most thrilling way to export their famous black whisky around the world!

Not one to follow well-trodden paths, our clients at Southwestern Distillery wanted to run the project a little differently too. From briefing to delivery in just six months – the liquid concept and its development has been shared online for all to see, as it happened. A fantastical brand story brought to life with an attitude and assets to match; this is an age-old liquid, brought bang up to date for today’s world.
