When TECOM decided to renovate their Management offices in Dubai Knowledge Park, the brief was to create a contemporary space aligned with TECOM’s future vision, incorporating wellness principles throughout. The original space had limited natural light, so window openings were enlarged to invite more daylight. Biophilic design was introduced with live plants integrated as key design elements. The result is a cohesive, harmonious environment that balances aesthetics with functionality. A major challenge was combining a welcoming reception area with a practical office layout. Multiple revisions were made before final approval, as the design-savvy client sought uniqueness and innovation. A chic palette of greys and deep wood tones was used, complemented by textured materials in similar hues for visual interest. Swiss Bureau introduced tinted glass partitions to enhance privacy while adding design flair. Flooring transitioned across zones—soft carpets in workstations and meeting rooms, patterned tiles in the pantry, and rugs in the Majlis. Walls feature linen-textured wallpaper and concrete finishes for contrast. The Reception/Lounge integrates the company logo with a planter wall, dividing the office into a Meeting Zone and Main Office Zone. Meeting areas and a Majlis feature wood panels and metal lighting, while the open office and pantry include accent colors to energize the space.
