The design was carefully developed to encourage relaxation and interaction. High-quality acoustic materials, including felt, ACOUSTIBUILT wall panels, and sound-absorbing fabrics, were selected to improve sound comfort and create a serene atmosphere. Biophilic elements, combined with a warm and dynamic color palette, enhance this sense of well-being while giving the space a vibrant and contemporary identity.
Beyond its aesthetic qualities, the project reflects a broader vision: that of a healthier and more responsible future. Through initiatives such as Meatless Mondays and its collaboration with La Tablée des Chefs, L’Oréal promotes ethical and sustainable eating while actively supporting the fight against food insecurity. The company is also firmly committed to reducing its ecological footprint. By 2030, it aims to achieve a circular economy where all waste is reused or recycled, embedding this food space into a larger, long-term sustainability strategy.
With this holistic approach to design, the new food counter has become a multifunctional environment that blends conviviality, well-being, and social responsibility. It embodies L’Oréal Canada’s values while demonstrating how interior design can create a positive impact both on employees’ daily experience and on the broader community. Métaphore Design is proud to have played a key role in this transformation, designing a space where every detail reflects a concrete commitment to people and the planet.
