Founded in 2002 by siblings Brian and Vincent Wu, Incu has since gone leaps and bounds, becoming a leading multi-brand retailer of premium and high-end brands that resonate with a savvy consumer base across Australia‘s expansive East Coast and beyond. Well-established at home base Sydney, the company sees room for growth, adding a fourth standalone store in Chatswood, a leafy neighbourhood just a few kilometres north of Sydney Harbour. Nestled on the premises of Chatswood Chase, the area’s leading shopping centre, the Incu retail space occupies a spacious ground floor corner unit, rubbing shoulders with an array of stores of premium and luxury brands such as Aesop, rag & bone, Zimmermann. Arc’teryx, The North Face and David Jones.

The interior design, created by Sydney-based design practice and longtime collaborator Akin Atelier, features a palette of earthy colours, captured by a number of natural materials. Sand-coloured walls, timber wall panels, and terrazzo tile flooring form the backdrop for a variety of furnishings and fixtures. Recessed wall sections are home to clothing racks, shelving units and cabinets. The large floor-to-ceiling windows are filled with additional tiered shelving units, while two larger cabinets present jewellery pieces and small leather goods. Right below a large circular ceiling light sits a striking stone-clad sales counter. The new Incu store carries a tightly curated collection of men’s and women’s brands, including A.P.C., Our Legacy, ami, Comme des Garçons Play, Needles and Paloma Wool. © superfuture
