Title
A quiet wine bar for lingering in silence —
MIGIRI Design completes “Salon du vin ivresse” in Ginza, Tokyo

Lead Paragraph
MIGIRI Design LLC, led by architect and designer Yuki Miyake (三宅 右記), has completed the interior design for “Salon du vin ivresse,” a new wine bar located in Ginza 7-chome, Tokyo.
The project explores the concept of “letting the space carry the afterglow of wine,” creating an atmosphere where light, materiality, and subtle shadows deepen the experience of drinking.

Concept — “Afterglow × Material × Light”
Rather than designing a place simply to serve wine, the aim was to craft a space where aroma, temperature, gaze, and silence gradually overlap.
The result is an interior that invites guests to experience the afterglow of intoxication itself.
Key design elements include:
* Deep green stone reminiscent of vineyard shade, forming the backdrop of the counter
* Rhythmic bottle composition arranged as if displayed in a gallery
* White washi artwork expressing delicate fluctuations of “ma” (Japanese spatial pause)
* Warm, restrained lighting focusing on shadows rather than illumination
* A dimmed back area where concentration gently shifts toward the wine
The layering of these subtle components creates an atmosphere calibrated for stillness and sensory presence.
