The brief was to provide a flexible space that could act as a cafe/restaurant/bar, and to create an additional area for dancing in the evenings. Opposite to the European Central Bank Pournoir transformed a former branch bank into a modern minimalistic space for hospitality. The key drivers for the interior: the elegant industrial aesthetic is based on minimalistic, geometric forms. This is composed by roughcast walls and concrete collums, in contrast to the soft and warm materials wood and brass. The restaurant is scattered with custom-designed furniture.
