“To enter these offices is to live an experience, to be transported back to childhood and feel the desire to discover new things again” affirm Nathalie Denys and Patricia von Arend from the interior design studio Denys & von Arend, based in Barcelona. Curiosity is awakened from the first moment: passing through its particular entrance, the visitor discovers the products placed in small openings in the walls.
“Box inside the Box” is the leitmotiv of the distribution. Spaces were created to accommodate the different work areas, which altogether recreate an urban atmosphere that transports visitors to the world of Magic Box through resources such as changes of scale, the use of diverse flooring, signage and the creation of green zones. The heart of the office is a creative space featuring a solid eight meter long iroko table. Designed to facilitate diverse working methods, it is both a space to work individually and a free surface on which to think, draw and share creative ideas.
Via a small space that reminds us of a warehouse where all the toy collections produced by the company over the years are stored, the visitor enters the showroom. It consists in a large room that contrasts with the rest of the office, where the dominance of white accentuates the colour of the small exposed pieces. They are the protagonists here. A large and curved structure made of transparent methacrylate is the magical support for the entire toy characters collection.
