Oktra designed the offices of online hiring platform CareerBuilder, located in London, England. Career Builder is a global leader in human capital solutions and have the largest online job site in the UK. Broadbean, acquired by Career Builder in April 2014, is a recruitment software company that develops software for the recruitment and staffing industry.

Having recently acquired a new business, Career Builder had outgrown their existing office and were looking to take on a larger space to accommodate both Career Builder and Broadbean under one roof. After a series of design development workshops, Oktra was able to gain a detailed understanding of what Career Builder envisioned for their new workplace.

With the objective of seamlessly integrating the two companies, Career Builder wanted an office design that would allow for collaborative working within a variety of spaces whilst keeping the two brands separate. The office consists of a front of house with two main working areas, Careers Builder on the 5th floor and Broadbean on the 6th floor, several meeting rooms, a collaborative lounge area and a boardroom with remarkable views of the millennium dome.

The main design attractions include the feature timber wall, the luminous textile panels triggered by motion and the network of exposed building services arranged to resemble art on the ceiling. Injections of bright purple, yellow and green were introduced into both the furniture and walls. All these features added to their office design vision of creating an inspiring environment for both their clients and their staff.
