Exploring the urbanity of the tri-city, BOSTON BITES is an urban café in Mohali, Punjab. The client who serves authentic American Cuisines, had spent a lot of time in Boston and had an affinity to it. Therefore, the brief was to manifest the unique essence of the city through an architectural vocabulary to resonate with the brand identity. The idea was to re-interpret and re-imagine various aspects of the city- the enthusiasm, the hustle, the pedestrian nature etc.
The café has a linear plan with different elements of the city fabric such as the newspaper clippings in the form of seats, metal fabrications as enclosure strung along. The floor patterns with vinyl tape marking form an astute imagery of the city and the walkways.
