Following eight years of successful business, online women’s activewear retailer STYLERUNNER has ventured into Melbourne‘s retail scene with a brick and mortar store in the city’s Armadale district. The company has picked a prominent location on High Street, one of the main thoroughfares and shopping arteries in the neighbourhood, occupying a ground floor unit of a newly built three-storey structure. Local creative studio Noise Noise Noise was commissioned to create a fitting setting store, and having been conceived during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, the design codes take cues from the effects of the global situation, resulting in a space which utilises the power of colour and form to boost moods and incite positivity. As such, it sees backdrop in mint, blush and lilac, in addition to semiotic forms with a playful twist. Upon entering, shoppers find a shapely oasis crafted from sycamore timber layered and with marble and champagne steel, presenting STYLERUNNER‘s footwear collection. Situated at the centre of the store is a curved shelving installation in mint green, replete with matching seating, a soft blue rug, and a mirror ceiling for additional visual drama. An abstract neon cloud floats above to the rear lounge whilst stainless steel fused with mirror curves around the grid of the fitting room exterior. Stepping inside, the fitting rooms reveal fantastical graphics on the walls and matching digital printed curtains. But that’s not all. Switches correspond to illuminated signage outside the individual room to help notify the staff for any kind of assistance. The new STYLERUNNER store carries women’s sports apparel, footwear, accessories and wellness products by a curated range of leading brands, including Camilla and Marc, adidas, L’urv, Golden Goose, lilybod and Suicoke.
