Almost a decade after Stone Island relocated within London‘s coveted Soho shopping area, the popular Italian apparel brand has not only expanded, but also fully revamped its retail space. The Brewer Street location now occupies 3,000 sq.ft. (279 sqm.) and gained an additional window, and the undertaking sees a renewed collaboration with architect Marc Buhre of Zeichenweg, the German practice which supervised the design of the brand’s latest series of retail spaces across the planet. Stone Island‘s signature aesthetic has been adapted to the dimensions of the premises, featuring a signature aesthetic of bush-hammered stone flooring inventively used on the walls, and metallic mesh on a steel substructure. Furnishings are in black-stained natural oak, hangers are composed of carbon bars and anodised aluminium, and shelves are in shades of anthracite. The revamped Stone Island store carries both the Stone Island and Shadow Project collections.
