Knitelli is a pasta packaging concept based on the visual convergence of two activities associated with craftsmanship, attention to detail, and home comfort: pasta making and knitting. The project is built around the idea of transforming the shape of pasta into a decorative element that resembles the pattern of a knitted sweater. The graphic system is based on a repeating ornament composed of stylized pasta shapes. Arranged in a rhythmic pattern, the elements form a dense texture reminiscent of knitted fabric and traditional sweater motifs. As a result, the packaging evokes associations with warmth, care, and a homely atmosphere even before the consumer engages with the product itself. The central typographic label serves as the key element of the composition. Designed to resemble a sewn-on tag found on handmade garments, it functions as both a logo block and an extension of the project’s core metaphor. This solution transforms the package into an object that feels closer to textile design, helping the brand stand out while adding another layer to the visual narrative. The color palette is inspired by the natural tones of ingredients and home cooking. Warm browns, yellows, oranges, and greens create a welcoming and comforting product image while reinforcing associations with traditional food preparation. The contrast between the background and the ornament ensures strong shelf visibility and allows the system to be easily adapted across different pasta varieties. The project demonstrates how the form of a product can become the foundation of an entire visual identity. Through the metaphor of knitting, the packaging communicates ideas of craftsmanship, family traditions, and domestic comfort, transforming an ordinary box of pasta into an object with a distinctive character and a memorable visual presence.
