Located in the heart of Georgetown, Tuckernuck’s Washington, DC flagship transforms a historic urban storefront into an immersive retail environment that reflects the brand’s distinctive personality while enhancing the customer journey. Drawing inspiration from the Federalist architectural character of Georgetown’s historic townhomes, CORE crafted a layered interior defined by refined millwork, detailed moldings, and traditional materials reinterpreted for contemporary retail. The design organizes the store as a sequence of distinct yet interconnected rooms—each with its own character, finishes, and merchandising strategy—creating the experience of moving through a welcoming home rather than a conventional retail floor. Decorative lighting anchors key spaces, while wood paneling, wall covering, and carefully detailed trim establish a sense of warmth, craftsmanship, and permanence. CORE partnered with the client and extended team to translate Tuckernuck’s evolving brand identity into a spatial experience that feels booth authentic to Georgetown and uniquely expressive of the brand.
