To mirror the rocky landscape of the Greek island Mykonos, studio KLab has refurbished 13 rooms of the Andronikos Hotel. The results reflect the native Cycladic architectural style while incorporating a modern, luxurious feel. Low-budget and low-tech, the new interiors were constructed by local builders using traditional methods. KLab created a sleek version of the island’s famed architecture with its curved, whitewashed surface and irregularly-shaped openings.

Furniture seems to grow organically out of the walls, while decoration is limited to natural elements like pebbles set into plaster. Bamboo screens filter harsh sunlight, while concealed lighting adds to the sculptural effect.
