Royal RepubliQ is a leather brand founded in 2006, rooted in Denmark and based in Amsterdam. We are proud of our history, which is reflected in all aspects of our company – including the first part of our name, ‘Royal’, which represents our deep respect for the ancient monarchial tradition. The latter part, ‘RepubliQ’, adds a contemporary note, reflecting our ambition to look ahead, keep an open mind, and create a balance between ancient history and modern tendencies.

Our life philosophy and core values are clearly reflected in our designs, as are our Scandinavian roots, exemplified by clean, sleek styles with strong details. We are fascinated by opposites and the ability of diverse and sometimes contradictory ideas to work together to create new and distinct visual expressions. Different elements come together in flexible styles, open to interpretation by whoever wears them.

And whoever wears them can, in our view, be just about anyone – appreciating the value of a high quality leather shoe or bag is not a question of age or gender, but of personality and outlook. Be open, have fun, dare to risk, take action, have strength, trust, passion, and faith – these are our ‘Aims of life’ which lie at the core of everything we do, from our design process to our daily communication with customers and partners.
