Take a look at the second Artifacts retail shop by Taiwanese interior designers Michelle Wei and Cheng Chia Hao. Striving to create a futuristic shopping gallery in an achromatic space, Wei and Chia created nine rotating glass doors at the entranceway. Each door is topped with a letter, spelling out ‘Artifacts.’ The doors can turn 360-degrees, inviting customers to transfer into the shop via a unique route. Inside, walls are covered repeatedly with clothing displays that create a geometric pattern.
‘As the philosophy of Artifacts, the design elements convey the idea of being rational, technological and geometrical, giving the customers a surreal shopping experience,’ Hao says. ‘We wanted to show order, logic and precision through cold colors, materials and geometric shapes at the same time.’
