Bread & Butter Berlin 2012 Summer – ONITSUKA TIGER

August 22nd, 2012 by retail design blog

Kihachiro Onitsuka started designing sports shoes in his small shop in Kobe, Japan, more than 60 years ago. Today Onitsuka Tiger, the definitive contemporary Japanese Sports Lifestyle Brand, remains true to his values of being creative, empathic and positive. The premise of being socially responsible and retaining the craft of fine Japanese design continues to inspire those who have the privilege of pioneering further with Onitsuka-san’s vision.

The philosophy of Kaizen, which in Japanese means to continuously improve, is what drives our efforts. Not only paying homage to our product icons from the past and our founder, but now moving the brand forward in the way our pioneering spirit demands.
