Montres SA clock store by Heikaus & Ramseier, Geneva

September 5th, 2012 by retail design blog

The small but refined Montres clock store at the heart of Geneva is famous for its selection of mid- and high-price clocks. Located not far from the large water fountain of Lake Geneva, the clock specialist has been in business for 62 years. Space is scarce here, by the edge of the beautiful old town. This was a challenge in the store room redesign for Heikaus company that was skilfully mastered by many little tricks.

The result is reminiscent of a small castle. White as a basic colour visually enlarges the room. New wall display cases and the central clock display ensure that the room’s space is utilised to perfection. The selection of materials includes walnut and shades of grey to emphasise the exclusive value of the goods. The centrally suspended glass chandelier, surrounded by an elegantly simple large-area stucco supports the grand design.

A pretty contrast is offered by the new, modern natural stone wall and the youthful violet colour highlights on the wall and in the interior. Heikaus GmbH represents innovative shop design from a single source. Heikaus Interior implements and constructs, Heikaus Concept provides the design. For more information, see www.heikaus.de.
