As CBRE engaged in creating a space for their employees, they had an opportunity to re-invent their space, reflecting the local culture and flair. CBRE Design team engaged both upper management and staff in a series of activities to understand the relationship between the corporate culture, business strategy, and operational needs in order to allow this information to inform the development of a meaningful workplace for the future.

CBRE is lean, mobile, and forward-focused, requiring the ability to quickly respond to a variety of business parameters that are in constant fluctuation. Collaboration is an important part of their daily work. Teams needed the ability to come together quickly and share information in both formal and informal settings while also maintaining focus work. Therefore, the overall work environment design open with a “universal” approach to planning that supports both internal and external needs. Yet, each department can have their individual activities and maintain their confidential requirements.

Collaboration spaces were designed to support a variety of work styles and team settings to encourage and facilitate interaction among staff and have fully integrated and seamless access to audio visual components. The space suggests quality and longevity, while maintaining an aesthetic that reflects the technological innovation of the future.

The appearance of the space is open and welcoming with a clean and modern aesthetic that creates a dynamic energy with a wow factor. The entry experience of the space reflects Ft. Lauderdale’s vibrant culture of art and music and has a nod to it’s strong connection to water and nature.
