Bogart club restaurant by Studio Omerta, Athens

The bar/restaurant Lalu in Kolonaki has recently undergone a radical makeover and total change of identity. The new exciting space BOGART, strives to live up to its namesake with a character that is cool, chic and extremely urbane.

At the outset of the transformation, the bar/club area was pared back to basics and a colour palette of pale purple and black introduced in addition to sections of the walls which were treated to resemble a cement like grey surface. Black metal angular fixtures were designed for the bar area and fun button lights by Flos were affixed to the concrete like wall surfaces. Bold graphics are placed throughout the space without detracting from its urban simplicity.

On entering the bar/club area, the D.J. stand greets the patrons, creating a distinctive energy throughout the space. The restaurant, which is on the upper level, exudes an air of sophistication. Elegant black wooden floors and tan leather couches are illuminated by a stunning sphere of led lights by Moooi, set against a mirrored backdrop creating a myriad of tiny sparkles in this very smart upmarket destination.
