Maison Martin Margiela’s mm6 store, London – UK

October 13th, 2014 by retail design blog

Maison Martin Margiela‘s women’s diffusion line mm6 continues its expansion with dedicated shops in the planet’s fashion capitals, and it’s in London where one of the latest has opened its doors. Avoiding generic store design, this new store also features a unique interior that’s inspired by the brand’s design principles. The narrow rectangular retail space features a raw minimalist architecture, blending venetian marble resin and light birchwood with industrial copper. The latter has been applied in a range of objects, from clothing racks to light fixtures and artsy coat hangers in the fitting room. A number of matching displays and cabinets present the mm6 jewellery pieces and smaller merchandise. The mm6 boutique carries the full range of apparel, accessories, bags, shoes and jewellery.
