Mobi Customizable Geometric Lighting by James Dieter

June 5th, 2015 by retail design blog

Lighting as sculpture has become running theme on Selectism with pieces such as the “Constellation” and “Apollo 8” balancing form with function. Another superb option to add to list, we take a look at “Mobi.” Designed by Brooklyn-based maker James Dieter, the mobile works with a series of tube bulbs and metal rods which can be adjusted to create a range of configurations. From clustered forms to triangular shapes, each individual set-up offers a new light pattern, customizable to suit each room. Available in anodized aluminium or brass finishes. “A transformable chain of light that shifts from one configuration to another” head to the website for order details.
