La Pasteria in Golden Hall by Chadios+Associates, Athens – Greece

June 28th, 2017 by retail design blog

Following the success of the flagship store in the center of Athens, La Pasteria Italian cuisine restaurant has created a new store in the luxurious shopping mall “Golden Hall”. Our office was asked to design the new restaurant, adapting the new architectural identity to the demanding interior space of the mall.

The biggest challenge we had to face was to create a warm, friendly atmosphere inside a spacious, open plan space with little room for interventions and changes of the existing shell. In the same time, we had to redefine the operation of the restaurant that had to adjust to the multiple needs of the users of the mall throughout the day and night.

The kitchen is open, working as the “stage” of the restaurant, while the seating area in front of it is furnished with small and larger tables and comfortable couches. In the second seating area we proposed the placement of a central bar that attracts the visitors’ movement and plays a central role through the day serving coffee and sweets in the morning, delicious tapas at lunch time and refreshing cocktails at night.

The materials, colors and textures, in black, white and natural wooden hues, create a pleasant atmosphere and the perfect conditions for the ultimate casual dining Italian experience.
