Nike has cleverly added a striking pop-up platform in Shanghai that serves as an extension for its popular range of running shoes. The newest Nike+ Run Club is captured by two striking pavilions on the premises of Shanghai Times Square, a high-end mall situated right in the heart of this bustling city.
The store installation is made of Canadian white oak, a material that’s also used for the brand’s solid wood tables. Before entering the pop-up store shoppers are encounter a product showcase that’s entilted what is Muji?, and which displays some of the retailer’s iconic products that collectively shed light on its retail philosophy.
These semi-transparent decorative elements mainly re-propose the idea of wooden cranes used for traditional fruit stands in street markets, and this feeling is reinforced by creating a striped canopy on the external shop’s facade. A slope ceiling invites customer to focus on the main yogurt display on top of the counter.
