Among the many bike shops in Manhattan and Brooklyn, 718 Cyclery stands out for its unique approach to doing business. The start-up, founded four years ago by Joe Nocella, is what could be described as an ‘inverted’ bike shop. That doesn’t mean 718 Cyclery sells upsidedown or backwards bikes, rather the whole bicycle creation process has been ‘inverted’.

A bicycle boutique with a focus on fixed gear & urban riding, Superb is a full service shop offering repairs and sales in an environment designed to stylize the act of bicycle shopping. Expanding on the shop’s original 1900′s motif, the retail store is a marriage of Victorian esthetic and minimalist design further commenting on the bicycles dual nature of being both tradition and trend.

BICYCLE STORES! Gregg’s Cycles by Weinstein A|U, Bellevue USA

Weinstein A|U designed the new 12,000 sqf building for Gregg’s Cycles to be a pure neutral container that highlights the bicycle. It was conceived as an elevated steel box that is supported structurally and programmatically by a CMU perimeter zone.
