Thread Wrapping exhibition by Anton Alvarez

The colourful, arched forms of Anton Alvarez, currently on show at Gallery Libby Sellers in London, are fine examples of the new craft that he has developed over recent years – the craft of ‘thread wrapping’.

Santa Eulalia store by William Sofield, Barcelona – Spain

In addition, we found a small, exquisite coffee with terrace, furnished with air inspired posters from the 20s and 30’s own Santa Eulalia: the bar has been recovered from an old bar of Toulouse, Thonet chairs are upholstered with a reprint of a pattern historic Liberty, and the marble tables printed with wrought iron feet up the furniture inside.

La Petite Bretagne restaurant by Paul Crofts Studio, London

London based Paul Crofts Studio has redesigned the new restaurant ‘La Petite Bretagne’, recreating an aesthetic of the traditional french bistro, and the historic craft of Brittany from where the crêpe originates.

Papabubble candy shop by Yusuke Seki, Yokohama

Papabubble are Caramels Artesans started in Barcelona in 2004, and has since launched all over the world. The candies are all hand made, and shows the process of making candy for a customer, and in doing so, entertaining kids and adult viewers alike. The shop design resembles a laboratory, and shows off the finely presented hand made look of these experimental candies.
