The shade is made of custom made, 1st grade veneers, custom made for our lamps. The veneer has been through a flexing process to became bendable, then coated with a clear solvent free coating. The veneer is carefully laser cut by skilled craftsmen at our workshop partner in Sweden. The simple shape of the shade and the structure of the wood is challenged by the intricate pattern cut into it – made possible through our close relation to wood material and thorough product development. The steel frame is custom made and powder coated white. The shade is hand sewn onto the steel frame using natural leather lace. All the parts are assembled by hand in our partner workshop in Sweden.
