Galeries Lafayette Beijing embodies the brand DNA of “making fashion accessible to everyone.” HMKM’s design concept interprets an elegant Parisian apartment in a modern, youthful way. Striking, contemporary schemes on each floor incorporate subtle motifs taken from vintage French decorative interiors and furniture. These details appear strategically in wall panels, soffits, decorative grilles, mouldings, screens and display counters.
Each of the five floors features its own particular colour, material and motif. Within the two main atrium spaces of this store, a spectacular programmable LED display in the ceiling replicates the iconic Art Nouveau glass and steel coupole of the Boulevard Haussman store.
